GHH wheel loaders have been produced in China since 2003. In a joint venture formed with Jinchuan Nickel Group, the largest nickel producer, and another Chinese partner, GHH Fahrzeuge holds a 25.1% share in the Gansu Mining Vehicle Ltd. Joint venture, with head office in Jinchang, Gansu Prov-ince in northwestern China.

The LF-9.3 wheel loader, a 10 t class machine, meets all the requirements imposed by the new Chinese ore mines, and as such contributes to capacity expansion. To satisfy the massive demand for raw materials in China, great efforts are being made to increase ore mining capacities from approx. 1m t to 4m t per mine. This requires more powerful machines. Whereas before 4 to 6 t LHDs were used, today 10 to 14 t vehicles are needed.

The joint venture has already produced 18 machines. Another 20 will be added in 2008, and 27 machines are already planned for 2009. In 2010 the joint venture expects to produce and commission around 100 machines for the Chinese market.
