GHH Mining Machines is a joint venture of Mine Machines and GHH Fahrzeuge and is headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa. GHH Fahrzeuge holds a 51% share in the joint venture.
Mine Machines manufactures articulated utility and transport vehicles with payloads of up to 4.5 t for use in underground mining. These vehicles are made in Botswana and distributed in southern Africa. In South Africa, GHH Mining Machines distributes load haul dumpers and dump trucks from GHH Fahrzeuge, drill jumbos from Mine Master, and utility vehicles from Normet, and provides field service and technical support for these products. A key component of these services is the execution of major LHD overhauls in the workshop of GHH Mining Machines. Since end 2007, GHH Mining Machines has also been assembling new LF-4.4 type vehicles in South Africa under an agreement signed with GHH Fahrzeuge. In addition to its Johannesburg site, GHH Mining Machines, which employs some 90 people, has field offices in Rustenburg and Lydenburg, near the mining regions of the Bushveld Complex.
